Architectural Plans: (15 points)

We discussed architecture as a form of art. Now you have the chance to design your own building. You can do this in many ways - by describing your dream house, making changes to a building you've seen, redesigning a famous structure, drawing out plans for a new construction job, etc... You can either do this in an art medium or by describing your plans in at least 100 words. 

Performing Arts: (15 points)

I briefly mentioned performing arts being those that artists use movements to express their artistic emotions. Either give an example of a performing art and discuss it or write about your experience with the performing arts in at least 100 words.

Masks: (15 points)

Masks were an ancient form of art. When are masks used today? Find an instance in a book or movie when a mask was used and write about it. Minimum 100 words. Alternatively, design a mask for yourself or someone else; be sure to tell me who it's for and why they'd need it.

Identifying Nature: (15 points)

A lot of the time, we see artists sketch something from nature, whether it's a beautiful tree they wandered upon or the nearby lake with a riverboat. For this prompt, go out into nature and find a scene you think is beautiful, interesting, stunning, etc... and sketch it. Alternatively, you can describe the scene in at least 100 words. Be sure to include what art medium you'd use to sketch it!

Painting in Different Mediums: (20 points)

We discussed many ways in which people paint. Try at least one method mentioned in the lessons and paint something using it. Include a picture of your work.
