Assignment Three

Choose 60 points of work to complete and send all assignments to hol.artamagicalstudy@gmail.com. The subject of your email should read "Assignment 3 - HOL name". The deadline is January 15th/June 15th. We covered many tools, but what about the ones that weren't discussed? Find a tool not covered in the lesson and write about it in at least 100 words.

Tool Use: (30 points)

Use any of the tools mentioned in the lesson to create any form of art you can think of. Some examples include rock art, a painting made with sponges, a painting or drawing on a canvas, etc... Upload your picture to an image hosting site and send in the link.

Paint Brushes and Stamps: (15 points)

Show your paint brushes or stamps! Many people have a vast collection of paint brushes so for this option I'd like you to arrange all your paint brushes nicely and take a picture. You can do this same thing with a stamp collection if you have stamps instead. Upload your picture to an image hosting site and send in the link.

Beautiful Words: (15 points)

Just as beautiful as painting, is painting a picture with words. Write a descriptive scene using as many colors as you can. Maybe describe the beautiful sunset, or the colors of the lake, or maybe the honey as it drips down a bee hive! Be creative; write at least 100 words and remember to paint a picture with your words!

Favorites: (15 points)

What is your favorite tool that was discussed in the lesson? Why is it your favorite and have you ever used it in the past? If you were to use it, what would you make? Do so in at least 100 words.

Painter's Palette: (30 points)

Painters use palettes to mix colors. Try mixing some different paints. Include a picture and write at least fifty words about what your expectations were for the new colors and what ended up happening. You can use actual paints or a computer paint application to do your mixing by using a spray can tool or something of the sort. Upload your image to an image hosting site and send in the link with your at least fifty word paragraph.

Artists: (20 points)

Find an artist that used one of the art forms we talked about and write at least 150 words about them. Try not to make it an essay, be creative! Tell me some fun facts about them, what you like most about them, something funny about their life, an awesome piece of their artwork and why you like it, etc... Have fun with it!
